Incense in the Cauldron

Burning incense on a charcoal in the cauldron will clear the environment of negativity.  This is a powerful technique that is used on the alter, in the kitchen and any environment where a spell calls for the burning of incense.

I’m very interested in learning more of this lovely, positive and exciting, worthy and and extremely interesting way of living.
I’ve been collecting books and lightly observing this for about 5 yrs (and I only say lightly because of time I feel necessary to put into it)and I have to say, I feel very connected to this. I’m not sure if it’s called a religion but I’ve always respected and adored the living world around me; especially the moon, stars, sun and earth. You seem very educated and I’m fascinated to learn more with you. Thank you! Thoughtfully, Lia

Hello Lia, Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment. You speak of the sacred connection to the Divine and to All That Is. You raise an excellent point about religion and this art. The experience of spirituality is a personal matter and unique to each of us. I like to think of this as a spiritual art because of its uniqueness. And you are right – it does take time, practice, disipline and conviction; however, even if you only have 5 minutes/day, you will be amazed at how you can experience more of the sacred divine that you already know. thank you so much for your comment. Many blessings of love, peace and everything good, Marianne

I was hoping, *after a long while researching with no answers* a couple of years ago, I bought a nice amount of supplies, books, etc. for sale online from a nice lady. Inside there were tea light candles and 2 good size ziplock baggies with what looks like salt discs? can you please tell me what this is for? I really appreciate and respect your input! Thanks, Lia Krol

hello Lia Krol! this is a very important topic you bring up – when purchasing magical supplies, it is good to know what they are and a bit about the supplier. even though the lady may be very nice, we never really know. once i was gifted with a pendant from a magical supplier who was very “nice”. whenever i wore it, i could sense that person around me, watching, being there – it was a tracking device with a spell. naturally i put it into a bag with sea salt and rosemary and tossed it. whenever i receive any new supplies, even commercially, i cleanse them in sea salt and rosemary for 3 days and nights or longer. i would need a little more information to try to advise you about the discs. do they have any scent or smell? color? texture? what were included with the rest of the supplies? in the art of magic, we never know what energy was put into the supplies – so you are wise in proceeding with caution and a quest to understand what it is that came into your possession. before you use it, make sure you know and understand what it is and what to do with it. never use anything that you do not understand, the risk is great. so if you would please respond to these questions, describe the contents of what you received and any descriptive properties of these discs. i will be happy to try to help you when i have some more information. blessings and love

That wide bracelet on your right wrist looks lovely.

thank you so much. 🙂 it is made of lapis chips and helps for protection and to raise the vibration. thank you, also, for watching. many blessings of all that is good.

What’s your pestle and mortar made of, my dear?

    • magic says:

It is marble. There is a nice inexpensive selection of pestle and mortar sets at http://www.azuregreen.net under the alter tools and supplies catagory. I find this is very useful to grind up tree resins and herbs. Everything is natural and fresh that way. Thank you for your question. Lotsa love and peace!

Were did you get that wide lapis chip bracelet, my dear?

    • magic says:

i purchased that bracelet on ebay. if you buy from a vendor who has a good history and an excellent feedback rating, you can get some great deals on crystals and jewelry. i have found a lot of vendors very willing to negotiate on the price as well. if the crystal wants to be with you, it really does come easily. thanks for your question. lotsa love and a blessed new year!

Would you say this bracelet would do the same thing your bracelet does, my dear?: http://www.etsy.com/listing/100023488/bracelet-with-lapis-lazuli-chip

    • magic says:

absolutely! lapis lazuli is a fabulous protector! if you wear it on your left wrist, it will protect you from incoming energies because the left side of the body is the recieving or feminine side of the body. if you wear it on the right wrist, it helps to transmute what you send to higher vibrations. a very good choice! blessings!

Hello, can we use Incense Cones Potpourri and incens sticks for the same purpose?

    • magic says:

you most certainly can! you can burn almost anything in the cauldron; however, each herb and resin have unique metaphysical properties. sage does a general cleansing; sweetgrass raises the vibration; white copal gets rid of unwanted urban spirits; black copal gets rid of unwanted nature spirits; vesta diffuses rage (but makes quite a flame, so best to burn that outside with a bucket of water nearby); – you get the idea. so yes, you certainly can do this, just make sure you know the metaphysical properties of the incense, oil, stick, resin, flower, etc. thanks, that was an excellent question. many blessings of every good wish.
